Complete Setup Guide
Add these DNS records to yourdomain.com.
This will allow contact form submissions to send transactional email notifications from no-reply@yourdomain.com to both users and to notify your regular email of any submissions.
Type, Host, Value, TTL
- TXT, @, v=spf1 a mx include:_spf.elasticemail.com ~all, Automatic or the lowest allowed
- TXT, api._domainkey, k=rsa;t=s;p=MIGfMA0GCSqGSIb3DQEBAQUAA4GNADCBiQKBgQCbmGbQMzYeMvxwtNQoXN0waGYaciuKx8mtMh5czguT4EZlJXuCt6V+l56mmt3t68FEX5JJ0q4ijG71BGoFRkl87uJi7LrQt1ZZmZCvrEII0YO4mp8sDLXC8g1aUAoi8TJgxq2MJqCaMyj5kAm3Fdy2tzftPCV/lbdiJqmBnWKjtwIDAQAB, Automatic or the lowest allowed
- CNAME, tracking, api.elasticemail.com, Automatic or the lowest allowed
- TXT, _dmarc, v=DMARC1; p=none;, Automatic or the lowest allowed
This works no matter where your domain was purchased: Wix, GoDaddy, or my personal favorite: NameCheap.
Note: you do not have to add any MX records to your domain for this to work! Just remember that this no-reply email cannot receive any inbound communications.
Verify the domain
Cloudways > Add-ons > Elastic Email.
Download and integrate with FluentSMTP
This is a free WordPress plugin that is straightforward and easy to use. I like to configure client email logs to be stored for the longest amount of time—just in case they need to go back a few months and see the activity on their website.
Send a test email
To ensure it’s working. However, I have found that after finishing the setup I need to wait 5m before the test email goes through, so you might stand up and stretch before you do this step!
